36 weeks + waiting on baby miller

36 weeks + wrapping up miller’s nursery.
i still can’t believe it even typing it out.. those first 16 weeks were so exhausting, tiring and full of so much sickness. then we hit the second half of the 2nd trimester.. and then the third and time is f l y i n g. we didn’t know what to expect and there were so many unknowns with having the girls so early.. i was honestly pretty doubtful i would ever see these last few weeks.
but. here we are, sweet boy.. past 36 weeks and going strong.

these big sisters are more than excited to meet their baby brother and proudly talk about ‘mi-ya’ every chance they get.
i’m soaking up every last bit of time with them and become beyond emotional every time i think about them not being my ‘babies’ anymore. i want to bottle every ounce of them up right here..this stage. the highest of highs, the worst of tantrums and the biggest hearts in the world.

can we talk about this name sign for a second…
landon over at sawdust + sunshine has the most beautiful talent of pulling together a vision and delivering stunning work.  pictures don’t even do this beauty justice. hand painted + handmade…i couldn’t be more excited i found her beautiful little shop.

we’re in the final stretch and wrapping up final details. our hospital bags are packed and some of the sweetest little boy things have made their way into welcoming our precious boy into the world. packing only the essentials, two little outifts and of course a swaddle blanket.. my heart leaps every time i think about those first few moments!

we’re down to our weekly ob visits and while we’re still hoping to VBAC, there is a little concern regarding your size. it comes down to safety and above all, that is our main goal.  i’m getting so anxious and excited to be able to hold you in my arms, smell that sweet baby head and kiss you all over. we talk frequently about how amazing it will be to not have an emergency and get to spend time with you immediately rather than through an isolette.

your space is ready for you. we’ve put so much work into this room that has quickly become my favorite room in the house.  the wood pallet wall, your crib, the dresser and all the decorations that make this space YOURS. there’s a little piece of all the men who love you most in this room… more to come on that later, but this room was built with love.

goodness gracious, you are so loved, sweet boy.
we’re in the final countdown and really, awaiting your arrival on any given day. we’re ready for you, buddy, so now we wait. dreaming of who you will be, who you will look like and praying for your safe arrival.
reading books and playing in your room every chance those crazy big sister’s get, you will be smothered in more love than you know what to do with.
we love you with our whole hearts already, miller lee.

**a HUGE and special thanks to megan and joy photography for capturing these precious moments.**
