happy monday!
good news on this monday…first, i’m wrapping up this post with the house still sleeping and i’m doing my happy dance because we got the call at 4:45am that zach had an ‘ice day’ and will be home with us another day!! i’m pretty sure i’m more excited than he is {#momlife} and praying our power stays on.
second, and more importantly for you… the great folks at stitch fix saw how much y’all loved the waived styling fee so they extended it and there is STILL time for you to order your first fix for free!! you have until the end of the month to try it out, so schedule that fix and let me know what you think!
stitch fix has been a great way for me to revamp my closet post babies and get clothes in there that actually fit, i feel good in + i’ve been able to try on at nap time, in between feedings and over the course of 12 hours.

if you’re not familiar with stitch fix, here’s the run down…and if you are, hop down to the reveal.

1. you fill out your style profile, answering all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. you can also write notes about likes/dislikes. linking your board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like is a huge help so your stylist can get a good picture of the types of things you like!
 2. schedule your fix! you are typically charged a $20 {waived for this month!!} styling fee however, if you keep any item (or more) that fee goes towards those items. i always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.
 3.  best mail day evvvvver.  you will receive 5 items (clothing, jewelry, shoes, accessories, whatever you prefer). i personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know.
 4. take 3 days to decide what you want to keep/send back (in a postage paid envelope, of course).  use this time to try everything on.  match what’s in your closet, use your jewelry, walk around in it… this is my favorite part. i hate buying a shirt only to get home and realize i have nothing to wear with it. with stitch fix, this isn’t a problem!! bonus: if you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix, yaaaas!
it should be noted that while I have chosen to receive fixes randomly when i choose (when i have an event coming or need something new), you can also opt to receive fixes on a schedule (monthly, 2x/year, etc.). i started stitch fix 5 years ago and have randomly received fixes then!
**stitch fix also offers men’s, women’s, maternity and plus size!! you can also purchase gift cards to give which make a perfect surprise present for anyone in your life!
if you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar! i am the queen of copying other fixes!

stitch fix box #19

i had requested my usual stylist and asked for a winter casual fix focused on function + comfort. it’s fah-reezing in ohio {although we got a warm front with 30 degree weather yesterday!}…and i’m totally digging this monochrome fix!

cardi {stitch fix} | white tee | jeans {stitch fix} | booties

1. pink clover – amara cardigan
2. kut from the kloth – kate distressed boyfriend jean

i had told my stylist i was on the hunt for a chunky cardigan + boyfriend jeans and she totally delivered! she sent me the coziest oversized cardi…it’s SO warm and while i really don’t buy anything specific for breastfeeding, cardigans are my go to so i’m not having my stomach hang out while i attempt to keep mills semi-focused. i paired it with a simple white tee, the boyfriend jeans + my fav booties and this is definitely going in my rotation of easily put together outfits.  these jeans are SO cute and i just love the casual style of the boyfriend cut!

vest {stitch fix} | flannel {stitch fix – last box} | leggings | booties

3. lemon tart – skyrose quilted wool vest

another request in the last couple of fixes has been a black or grey vest… i’ve been patiently waiting and i was super excited to open my fox and find this gem! so warm and SO versatile, my stylist suggested i pair it with this flannel i had received in my last fix! again with the distressed denim and my other fav booties a simple put together look!
ps – these jeggings are 25-35% off right now {ends today} and they’re my favorite because i can get the distressed look without half my leg showing!

4. retrod – cavallo poncho sweater

this pic doesn’t do justice…but, we had a fussy babe + two toddlers were starting to wake up. real life right there. this poncho is absolutely ADORABLE. this should be made specifically for nursing because the slits basically go right up to your armpit {perfect for shoving a babe under}. you do have to wear a tank underneath but it’s so easily dressed up for a night out or easy enough to run errands in! SUPER cute, this is easily one of my favs!

5. absolutely – madison star print pullover

while i appreciate the sparkly detail in the stars, this sweater didn’t do much for me. it’s cute and easy, but it was a bit tight in the arms for my liking and overall it just didn’t fit me right. one of the many perks about stitch fix is that if you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off all 5 items, which is awesome if you love your whole fix. in this instance though, if i sent this one shirt back, i would actually wind up paying more for the the fix than if i kept it. i might try to sell it on one of the resale boards on Facebook…or hold onto it until my nursing arms go away!

SO, what do you think?!

now’s the time to try it out, risk free! if you hate it, you ship it all back in the pre-paid envelope and you haven’t wasted a dime. if you love it {which i’m sure you will!}, keep it all! let me know how it goes… i always LOVE seeing other people’s fixes!

happy shopping!
