it’s the friday of one of my most favorite holidays and i am feelin it!! spring is in the air, the baskets have been filled, outfits picked and easter egg hunts on the schedule for the weekend… but most importantly, it’s a whole weekend to celebrate jesus!
we have so much to be thankful for and i’m simply counting my blessings, one tiny babe at a time. this mama is tiiiiired but good golly, life is GOOD!

okaaaaay. i don’t even think this needs a caption… but good golly this sweet hand embroidered bunny bonnet from honey burrow is the most precious little thing i’ve ever seen…. when Lauren of ivory lamb photography sent me this gem… goodness gracious, she always makes my visions come to liiiife!! i bought this bonnet for maisley when we were anticipating a scheduled c-section around 36-37 weeks…and then when we pushed it back to 39 weeks, the only thing i was disappointed about was that maisley wouldn’t be here on easter to wear this gem! clearly maisley had other plans and has gotten GOOD USE out of these little ears!! now i’m gonna need some bear ears and virtually everything else in this sweet mama’s shop!

wheelchair rides
if you follow along on instagram, i shared this pic and answered some questions about piper! she was fitted for her new wheelchair and girlfriend’s got some SKILLS!!! she is SO excited for her new wheels and of course picked out the coolest batman colors! it should take 3-6 months to come in {insurance is such a pain} but we’re hoping for less! lila missed her sis something big while we were gone for her appointment and they were more than excited to see each other afterwards…and all of a sudden looked like they were 16.

family time
zach had his first official week back to school and man alive we missed him something biiiiig. life over the last 3 weeks has been the most unexpected, beautiful, chaotic, love-filled journey… it’s been hard, but these. these are my people and the last 3 weeks with them have been amazing. and tiring. but mainly amazing.. and i promise a birth story + some updates are coming. we’ve been more than appreciative for all of the love and support y’all have given.

one on one time
we’ve had a lot of transitions lately. from maisley’s surprise arrival to 8 days in NICU, ER visits, additional surgeries… the big kids have been bounced around and dropped off at different places for unknown amounts of time. they really have done amazing at adjusting to it all with some extra tlc + reassurance. piper has a lot of doctors appointments… big appointments that require my 1:1  attention lending itself to lila + miller spending additional time at my moms or with a neighbor. again, they do amazing but lila’s love language is time and when her love bucket isn’t being filled, she tends to struggle more. spending time 1:1 with the kids is SO important so when she asked {pleaded} with me to take her for ice cream after dance when she had my full 1:1 attention, you better believe i jumped on the opportunity. aside from this picture, my phone was away and we giggled, tickled, filled our bellies with ice cream and stayed up way past bed time to just spend time with each other. we were both on cloud 9 and it was everything we both needed!
