it’s official, we have preschoolers!!
we had the girls’  ‘practice day’ of preschool about 2 weeks ago and it went GREAT! the girls had so much fun, i got to see what a day would look like and they gained confidence {and so much excitement} in their independence going to preschool! while we got off on a bit of a rocky start {if you missed the week from hell, you can read about it HERE} with lila missing the ‘first day’ because she was in the hospital, we have fully recouped and the girls are THRIVING in their school! they go 2 days per week for 4 hours each day and spend 75% of their day outside. it is like a dream preschool + truly, we feel so blessed to be able to send the girls there!

while i didn’t get a first day of school board or get those first pics i wanted, i did want to do something that i could repeat each year to look back on. these are my favorite posts and probably the ones that i look back on the most with the kids…i love to see their development and see how far they’ve come so i plan to do the same interview each year!

oh my sweet, sweet girls…the ones who made me mama, i can’t believe how fast the time has gone. i am SO proud of you both and know you are going to thrive in preschool. i’ll never forget the first time i laid my eyes on your teeny bodies in those isolettes… we had no idea if we’d make it this far and yet here you are, more excited than ever to put your back pack on, use your strong muscles and be a superhero in preschool. your excitement far outweighs the sting of how fleeting the time has been…3 years just doesn’t seem long enough. i hope you always remember just how close you are, how brave you make each other and how your different strengths lift each other up when you need it most.
i’m not sure i could be any more proud of you…my heart burst into a million pieces seeing those HUGE smiles on the first day of pick-up. you’re going to amazing things, my beautiful sweet peas… let your love for learning never cease.
