a few weeks back, the crew + i started planting seeds in the compostable, recyclable + biodegradable packaging that once held our products. the kids had an absolute blast getting their hands dirty as they chose the seeds they wanted to plant and in what boxes.
we’ve been studying plants in our homeschool curriculum so it was a fantastic extension activity and a wonderful way we could incorporate how we’re mindful about the products we bring into our home. the concept of reusing, reducing and recycling was easily discussed as we talked about how we can make a difference by making smart choices and shopping with brands like EC30. while it’s not about being perfect, I was easily able to show how this low-waste product could make an impact and create less waste for our environment.
i love giving kids the opportunity to engage with gardening, planting and growing.. there’s something so special about creating new life and creating beauty with kids! our crew has taken their gardens very seriously and are continuing to water and care for their little buddies!
a few weeks later, zach surprised me with the most precious Mother’s Day gift I could have ever asked for… hand painted flower pots! if you’ve been around for any length of time on instagram, you know i can be a bit of a ‘crazy plant lady’ and i own that title very proudly! 🙂
he knew he’d struck gold with these precious souls hand prints and as soon as i saw them, i knew what i would put in them… the flowers from the seeds the kids planted!
