– the skyway: whether you’re traveling in the winter or have a rainy day in the summer, the skyway offers a completely covered option to enter into the mayo building {with delicious food, shopping and massages on the way!}

– transportation service: the friendly staff at the hilton is always ready to take you directly to your appointments, for free, should you need that option! {we spoke to multiple patients who spoke of how convenient this service was!}

– walking: an easy 5 minute walk will place you right at the doors of any of the mayo buildings! we had such beautiful weather during our stay that we walked to every appointment!

one of the main qualities that set the hilton rochester mayo clinic area apart were the incredible amenities…and we used them all! with a typical stay around 5-7 business days at mayo clinic, it’s easy to fill your downtime getting a great workout in, then in the indoor, year round pool, including an incredible sauna, steam room, shower and hot tub!

the executive lounge

if you’ll be staying for multiple days, i highly recommend having access to the executive lounge. with both a breakfast and evening reception including adult beverages and generous portions of delicious food, there is never a need to eat elsewhere! we enjoyed all of our breakfasts and dinners at the lounge and frequently took our meal to be enjoyed on the beautiful outdoor terrace with incredible views!

the executive lounge is the perfect place to relax and take care of any business in a quiet atmosphere with your laptop or their computers and printers. the full access coffee machine is available 24/7 for lattes, cappuccino or some hot brewed tea {don’t worry, i had maaaany cups!} while you work!

from it’s cleanliness to views, amenities and delicious food to the ease of access to mayo clinic the hilton rochester mayo clinic area is an incredible place during your stay in the rochester area!

although we received a generous discount for our stay, i truly can say i have never experienced such kind staffing in a hotel. a trip to Mayo Clinic to visit the best doctors in the world also comes with high stakes and after chatting with a variety of other patients, our initial feelings of being blessed to stay in a hotel with such kind and generous staff is confirmed. they go above and beyond the responsibilities of a hotel to truly care about their clients…whether that’s a check-in after a procedure or having meals ready for their regulars, we truly were blown away at the generosity displayed.
