boy mama… it’s a role i wasn’t sure i would ever get to have the honor of owning and if i’m being totally honest, i was terrified when we popped that balloon and blue confetti came sprinkling out. we had two little girls and i felt like i had it down.. the bows, the cute outfits, sass, emotions… i loved every second {almost 😉 } and i wasn’t quite sure what to expect with a boy. little did i know the ‘firsts’ that would come with this sweet baby and goodness gracious if it’s not my favorite season of life, ever.

when the girls were born, they were a little over 3 pounds and finding baby girl clothes to fit their teeny bodies was near impossible, except at carter’s… i still look back at some of those outfits and am on the struggle bus remembering how small they once were! this third kid thing makes you realize just how fast the time goes by and as cliche as it is, if you blink, you will miss it. since those preemie days with the girls and now with a baby boy in the mix, i totally rely on carter’s baby basics to dress our circus. of course i want them to look cute but functional is key these days and budget-friendly is a must. time is flying by before my eyes and here we are, planning a 1st birthday party for this goofball! can we talk about that smirk for a second?!

we’re in the season of change and everything is so new… the babbles, the foods, rolling over, holidays, crawling and dare i say walking?! it sometimes feels like motherhood in general is just one big ball of change. once you get comfortable in the stage your at, it all changes and it’s chaos all over again. we’re certainly the most crazy it’s ever been and i’d be lying if i said i didn’t love it. i’m 100% one of those mama’s who has always wanted a big family..envisioning 4 babes running under our feet and of course it hasn’t always been rainbows and cherries but guys, we got love. if there’s one thing we’re good at, it’s love! these last almost 3 years have been filled with more love than we ever could have dreamed of…just give me all the babies!!!
