the perfect gender neutral big kid room for 3 siblings featuring a triple bunk bed and the sweetest bedding..plus wooden name signs!
we live in a fairly ‘small’ house for what is about to be 6 people + 2 dogs… a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house and over the years discussing our family plans, we knew we were going to have to get creative when it came to the bedroom situation with the kids. we were waiting to see what gender baby 4 would be and when we found out we’d be adding another girl to the mix, we decided that eventually, the girls would all share a room {also the biggest room in the house} and mills would eventually have his own room…that being said, we also didn’t want to stick a baby in with the big girls who would be giving up naps soon, etc.

it made sense for us to move mills in with the girls for at least a couple years which also presented itself with a challenge for a gender neutral, toddler friendly room that would eventually become the all-girl room! after seeing janene’s custom triple bunks for her twins + 1, i knew i had to find something to make work and was SO excited when amber shared this triple bunk bed system from walmart she found for her girls for cheap. we ordered the same triple bunk bed almost immediately and haven’t looked back.
another must-have for their room has been these adorable + super functional bunk bed caddys zach’s dad built for the kids. i wanted something that they could stick their water bottles + a book in and these are THE best! i painted them to coordinate with their bedding + favorite colors while zach attached these hooks and they’re the best!
although this room is the biggest of the house, it still quickly fills up with 3 babes piling in. i’m not one to keep toys in their room but for sure wanted a reading nook that they could snuggle up in and when i was introduced to the cedar poppy and their wooden signs, i knew these would be the perfect little detail to complete their reading nook and trust me when i say they’re even more gorgeous in person! SO easy to work with, this husband + wife team is killing it!!
