GUYS. easter is less than a month away and let me tell you..it’s one of my favs…along with every other holiday! filling easter baskets goes down in my list of things i dreamed about when becoming a mom… i just find so much joy in all of the little stuff and as the girls have gotten older, it just keeps getting better and better. the magic through their eyes is simply amazing and this year, they’re really starting to get just how much fun it is. we’ve started talking about the easter story and they officially understand that easter is more about jesus than it is about the easter bunny.
i started picking some stuff up in the dollar section at target last week {it gets me every time} and i have SO much fun finding little things that i know makes their little faces light up…like dollar store stickers! someone asked me last year after i posted my easter basket ideas if i stuff everything into their baskets and the answer is NO. i absolutely do not get the kids all of this stuff… i don’t spend a fortune on these things, but i do love to support my small shops and get a couple little goodies!
bows
little bows are the cutest little addition to baskets, so let’s start here! i honestly shop small when it comes to bows… i love the quality and more so, i love supporting fellow mama’s who are working hard to create beautiful little accessories. y’all know we rarely leave without something on the girls heads and they know it’s part of the drill now! i usually love to find unique, 1 of a kind bows HERE, i’ve supported this duo since the girls were teeny, and by far my fav clips {and basically everything from her shop} are from HERE. in a quick search, i also found these online if you’re a prime shopper and looking for something really cheap…i have never bought them, so i have no idea on the quality but they look promising!
spring time jams
we are in MAJOR need of some new jams, so this is the perfect opportunity! the kids got their first pair of hanna jams for christmas and they’re my favorite EVER. they’re a little on the pricy side but after hearing that they last forever, i wanted to try them out. we’ve worn them 2-3x per week for christmas {like, hard}, washed them and they still look like i just took them out of the package. i feel like every other brand after 2-3 washes they fade and kinda stretch out, but not these. i think they’ll easily wear them through multiple sizes so honestly, i think they’re totally worth the price! how adorable are these bunny jams?! and these are so cute for spring + summer!
bathing suit
since the kids have been in swim lessons, we’re wearing out some swimming suits pretty hard! we frequently get asked about them and especially y’all that are in warmer climates…see also it’s snowing right now.. these are the perfect pop of color to those baskets! i am SO looking forward to summer so these totally give me a little pick me up! my fav mommy + me matching suits are a little expensive but they’re my FAV for dressing this post-partum bod and they last FOREVER. i’m still wearing mine from 2 years ago! if you’re an amazon primer, i got ya covered with these!
sunnies
if you follow along on IG, you’ve seen little lila bean run around in all her glory with the most hilarious glasses. she’s obsessed and every time it’s sunny out the girls are begging to wear their sunnies. i’m not about to spend a fortune on these since we always seem to break them or lose them so prime for the win on these polarized ones!
sandals
it’s sandal season and with their feet growing by the minute, we’re going to need some new ones this year! seriously could these be any sweeter?
t-shirt
this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who follows along here… let’s spread some love with these adorable shirts!
pez
ok, i usually don’t put candy in their baskets because they get plenty of it elsewhere, BUT. with our paw patrol obsession these days and their love for pez… i just couldn’t resist! i found these paw patrol pez on prime but i’m sure you can find them cheaper in stores somewhere!
book
i ALWAYS include a book for every single holiday and present…we love reading and i find so much value in fostering that in these kids, so you better believe we’re including a book! again with the PP obsession, a quick search found this paw patrol easter book!
water bottle
we’re constantly using water bottles and i’m totally guilty of putting drinks in other than water so over time they kinda get gross which just…bleh. i refuse to have water bottles that leak and really they’re not that much more expensive than others that do, so it’s a good excuse for a new one! i’ve LOVED our contigo bottles and they literally never leak! a friend always gets hers at costco, so i know you can find them there too!
bath toys
we’re bath lovers over here and we finally used up all of the bath stuff we had gotten last year so it’s time for a refill! i’m going to try out this bath paint and have heard really good things about bubble bath! i’ll let you know how it goes!
i always try to include something educational in their baskets and found these magnetic letters which look super fun! the girls are getting all excited about going to preschool in the fall and are all about playing with letters these days!
other fun ideas: chapstick, nail polish, flash cards, play doh and if you need some more ideas you can check out last years ideas HERE!
happy shopping, friends!
These are all such great ideas! I’ve already started ours but now I may need to add a few more things!
Very cute ideas! I love the jammies and bubble bath! My little guy just happened to be in need of those things, so I will be using that idea!
Great ideas! We started putting the girls easter clothes in their baskets when they were little to avoid the candy situation!
Ha ha I love it—it’s one of my favs along with every other one too:) I love the easter basket challenge and finding fun things to fill it with!
I love doing Easter baskets! it is so much fun!
These ideas are so fun! Love the sunglasses and swimsuit idea! Perfect way to get the kids excited for warmer weather! – Jennifer | https://maunelegacy.com
These are all such great ideas. I appreciate that not only are they non-candy, but you’ve also made them not all toys and trinkets either! (To be totally honest, I’d almost rather have candy that I can store up in the pantry and give out as treats than tiny toys cluttering up the house!)
Great easter baskets items and ideas that you’ve got here.
It was great reading this!
So many great ideas for Easter baskets! My girls are getting bows in theirs too!
