the second most common question i get asked {next to if i’m getting any sleep…and yes, i am…woo woo!!} is how the girls are adjusting to their new role as big sisters.  i am so happy to say that my answer is always, ‘they’re amazing and they LOVE their roles as big sisters.’ and they do. they seriously couldn’t be more proud to tell anyone who asks all about their baby.
piper asks multiple times per day to hold or snuggle ‘baby millllaahh’ and lila makes sure he is never without 12 pacis or blankets.  they want him to cuddle with them at bed time and the first thing they ask when walking into the house is where he is.
all of that being said, they have their moments that they don’t understand why i can’t hold them both while i’m carrying miller around..or why miller gets to sleep in mama + daddy’s bed and they don’t. they really have done amazing and it’s one of those moments that i am so thankful for the twin life because they always have each other {you know, to bust open a bottle of lotion while mama is feeding…we’re working on it, ha}.

i think one of the kindest things someone did when miller was born was bringing over a special gift for the girls to open. i hadn’t even thought about that, but it meant the world to me that they got something special during this chaotic time in their lives.

the girls had such a fun time pulling out all of the toys, exploring each one. with every instrument came a new song and they were cracking each other up labeling all of the pictures inside of the box…but the best part was that they had something special just for them. it didn’t stop them though from wanting to get miller in on the fun! {like i said…the best big sisters ever!}.
