it’s been nearly 6 months since i first met the gem of a human behind revival hair + co. and it’s not even a little bit of an understatement that marci has changed my life! not to mention, she’s so adorable.
i first heard about hair extensions a few years ago but it always came with some disclaimers about damaging your hair, ripping your hair out and terrible installations. if you take nothing else from this post, just trust me that there are some things you simply don’t want to just find the cheapest options… and this is one of them.
here’s where I can help.. I’ve done the hard work for you and even was the guinea pig!
what are hair extensions?
hair extensions are an investment + good ones are not cheap. you can absolutely purchase cheap hair off amazon, but you have no idea what kind of quality you’re going to get and if i’m going to make an investment like this, i want to make sure it’s quality and it’s going to look good! this is where revival hair + co has you covered!
marci uses a beaded foundation that is extremely comfortable and seamless so you can’t see any of the attachment points in the hair. while it took a few weeks to get used to {simply because you’re wearing something in your hair that you’re not used to}, after the transition period, it is extremely comfortable and can be hidden perfectly, even in super fine hair! most of the time, i don’t even remember it’s not my own hair!
what is the hair extension investment?
an initial {FREE} consultation will provide a much clearer estimate because every person is so unique in their hair needs…from postpartum hair loss to curly hair + post-menopause {just to name a few!}. the initial investment will range from: $1200-$2500 depending on the length of hair you choose. this is standard pricing in the world of extensions and is actually an incredibly good value when you take into account marci’s training, her skills and experience.

hand-tied hair extensions – the process
step 1: the very first step is a free consultation. this step is super important because it allows marci to be able to make a custom plan for your hair answer any questions you have and then set the date!
step 2: this is the big day!! you’ll likely be there for quite a few hours… color, install and cutting the extension hair PLUS your natural hair! marci is so incredibly talented at not only caring for your extensions but for your natural hair. she specializes in fine + damaged hair and is careful to not only not damage your hair but to actually help it grow!!
pro tip: wear some makeup and bring some earrings because you will want a before/after… this transformation is INCREDIBLE!!
step 3: I like to say that I like boujie things to keep me low maintenance {see also: my eyebrows are microbladed and I loved my eyelash extensions!}. have I mentioned I only wash my hair once every few weeks {like 3-4?!}… and it actually looks good?! it’s thanks to extensions 🙂 but! to keep up these luxurious locks, you will need to re-visit marci between 5-9 weeks to ‘move up’ your rows. basically she will take out your rows {yes, you feel naked!} and reinstall them in the correct place {higher} and likely color/gloss/tone your hair.
