can you believe it’s the first day of fall?!
it’s still in the 90’s in these parts and honestly, i can’t say i’m super hateful about still being able to get wet in the hose! we’re starting to sprinkle fall in here and there and i’m trying to balance doing all the fall things with keeping our house clean and not bringing a whole bunch of pumpkins home only to move them again shortly!
we kicked off the weekend saturday with autumnfest at one of the coolest local resources – learning tree farm! it’s open to the public and they host a handful of super fun events throughout the year that we take full advantage of. from a full garden to a barn stocked with farm animals {the kids love to hold the chickens!}, there is so much to do. autumn fest has all the farm’s normal activities plus so much more…face painting, tractor rides, obstacle courses, easel painting, food trucks and more.
wonder woman and spider girl!!
we had the best time and maisley girl was pooped!
after nap time we headed over to my sisters for a cookout and so. much. laughing. one of those nights that’s totally good for the soul and the kids had an absolute blast!
sunday was full of family. i ran to the grocery store 3x, spent 1:1 time with each babe and zach got a whole bunch of random things done around the house. the kids and i had started making pizza sauce earlier last week from all the leftover tomatoes from our garden and we finally got around to wrapping that up and let me tell you. our house smelled YUMMY.
we took the night to create our own pizza masterpieces and the kids had so much fun picking out their ingredients!
after dinner was early baths + then spa night! piper had run to the store with me earlier in the day and begged me to pick out nail polish and face masks, which i hopped right on. while doing face masks with a toddler {ahem, miller} certainly wasn’t relaxing…we sure had fun and i’m officially declaring sunday nights spa nights with the babes. it was such a great wrap up to a wonderful weekend and a great way to get ready for the week ahead!
happy fall, y’all!
