oy, this post has been scheduled for so long and keeps getting pushed back because i was really wanting to give an update on piper! february flew by literally in the blink of an eye and then i turned around and here we are in march!! lots of updates, lots to catch up on so hang tight with me! life has been busy. like BUSY. but SO good. we’re crazy. life is messy as always, but it’s our messy and i wouldn’t want it any other way.
a little life update:
alright let’s start off with the major question..piper.
y’all… gosh, you guys are just the best and i’m STILL getting messages asking if we’ve had any updates. i promise i wasn’t just leaving you in the dark…we just didn’t have any answers yet. we’ve been on quite the road with piper over the last couple of months and i finally opened up and shared about it HERE. we kicked off the month by checking into cincinnati children’s hospital for a 3 day eeg. it went about as well as you would expect with a 2 year old hooked up to a machine and stuck in a tiny room for 3 days.
then we had to wait for results and trust me when i say it felt like FOREVER..and it was a long time. we literally just got the call late last week with results and they came back abnormal. again. i received a little more information this time but i’ll be honest, i’m still trying to understand it all. basically from here, it sounds like we’re looking at epilepsy, but the doctor isn’t 100% confident making the diagnosis + medicating and wants a second opinion from an epileptic specialist. i 100% appreciate the caution because i feel like this is a big diagnosis that i don’t want her to have unless she does in fact have epilepsy. SO. we’re going up to nationwide children’s hospital in april unless we can get in sooner for that appointment. until then we are waiting. we seem to be in a pretty good place right now with her dizzy spells not happening as frequent, but yes, they are still happening.
ok. now to the fun stuff.
we played in the snow… and it took every bit of 45 minutes for me to get them dressed. this time we made it probably 15 minutes outside playing so WINNNN!!!
the girls are obsessed with playing with miller…obsessed. and he thinks it’s the coolest thing in the world to play with the big kid toys.
so many lovies. the entire month. and if you’ve been following along on instagram, you know that at any given point i can catch them smooching… they think it’s hilarious right now and i for one, am not hateful about it.
we spread some love + kindness.
took our circus to the target…many times.
this kid. he was our constant light all month long.
the big girls are officially the bestest of friends and now play independently on a daily basis.
i got overalls because… well. they’re awesome. and quite possibly the comfiest things i own. so don’t be surprised when you see me in them on a weekly basis.
and again. they kiss. all. the. time.
and miller steals my coffee.
i’m kidding, he can’t drink from a straw.
he does however think he’s the funniest person ever.
we moved into the 20th century and actually got high speed internet + tv.
don’t ask how i’ve been blogging for 2 years without it… {insert eye roll}.
the girls think it’s the coolest thing ever to bring their chairs out from their reading nook and watch paw patrol {not on my iPad}
we’ve had some REALLY beautiful weather and taken every opportunity to dance in the park.
swinging. sliding. jumping. running.
spring needs to hurry on up here.
you can find my this easy nursing-friendly dress HERE.
and of course he’s just the best little buddy tagging along.
you can find this super easy + comfy romper HERE.
and my whole world right here. one of my most favorite sights in the world…our 3 precious babes snuggled up for bed time stories with their daddy.
we’ve packed a whole bunch in and march certainly isn’t looking like it’s slowing down. i’m soaking it all in…the chaos, the laughter, the love. it just goes by too fast!
What a ride you’ve had! The good, the scary and the extraordinary! I enjoy following your journey with every single post and you’re all in my prayers. 🐝❤️🐰🐾
Oh my goodness, I just love how baby Miller’s face could light up a room! Glad to hear you’re getting somewhere with Piper’s diagnosis…even if it’s slow progress. Also, you are rocking the heck out of those overalls and now I’m fairly certain I need a pair!
Thank you for the update. I hope you can get in sooner to the hospital. Love the fun update. My girls (3 year old identical twins) kiss all the time too. it is the cutest thing.
Awww your girls are so cute together! So much love. I will be thinking of your daughter and hope you can get answers soon!
You zach and piper will overcome anything thrown your way and will be stronger for it! She’s a tough cookie and a very happy little girl. Your pictures capture love and sweetness. Thanks for sharing Lu.
