30 weeks and we finally have a name for our sweet little baby sis!
i’m not one to necessarily keep it a ‘secret’ but i also hate hearing people’s opinions when we’re trying to decide on a name so we typically keep our options to ourselves until we’re set. we welcome all suggestions and while we had a set name for a baby boy, we had nothing for a little girl which took us a bit of time. i was in no rush to force a name but zach tends to have a hard time ‘bonding’ with these sweet cheeks until he knows the name…understandably so. a few weeks ago he was tired of my indecision and started just calling her by whatever name he wanted…. he knew it’d send me over the edge and by the end of the night we had officially decided:
maisley genevieve cline
maisley holds no significance other than my aunt + stepdad were throwing out names and sent me maisel one day and i fell in love… until the marvelous mrs. maisel came out and i overheard someone talking about it at dinner one night and it immediately came off the list. i still liked the name, but i hated that it was a tv show… we kept tossing around our top 3 and somehow maisley evolved into what it is.
we like to have a middle name of a family member and also like to have each kids’ name have a part of both sides of the family… with cline being obvious, we had been set on genevieve from the very beginning after my paternal grandmother who has so much influence on my life. while little miss maisley will never meet her great grandmother {she passed away when i was in high school}, i know my grandma will be smiling down.
bring on all the personalized precious details as we patiently await little miss maisley!
Love it!!!!
Aww, I love when middle names have significance! And such a cute sign!
Love it
