happy monday!!
i don’t know about you but there’s not much that tops a holiday monday + we have a full day planned! whether you’re hanging at home, BBQing with family + friends or hitting up the parades, i hope it’s the perfect mix of relaxation + fun.

the temps have been HOT + so perfect for pool weather, making my summer heart happy that we still have some time before the colder temps arrive which means we’re no where close to putting our swimsuits away for the season. don’t get me wrong, i love some booties + sweater weather and a little PSL is good for the soul, but definitely not when it’s still in the 90’s for days on end. my brother in law said it perfectly yesterday”
keep yo PSL away from my margarita!

we’re soaking up these last days of summer time with park hangs, splash pad fun, bottomless slushies + hanging poolside….and obviously coordinating swimwear.

y’all know by now my love for kortni jeane swimwear runs deep and if you’ve been around here for any length of time in the summer you know it’s virtually the only suits i’ve purchased since becoming ‘mama.’ i wanted something that could hide that c-section pooch and wouldn’t spill the goods while chasing around all these babes…but that i felt confident in.
motherhood takes a toll on your body and it’s a process i’ve learned comes with a whole lot of grace. we took mills on a family beach vacation in FL when he was barely 2 weeks old and i was determined to document the whole trip, and be included in those pics. i had many people comment that they couldn’t believe i was in a bathing suit, let alone posting pictures of it, because they’d never have the confidence to do so.
and guys. if you scroll back in time…i’m NOT someone who walks out of the hospital and you’re not sure if it’s really my baby i’m carrying. i hold onto that weight and it takes me a solid year {if not longer} before i really start to feel like my clothes fit…but you know what that doesn’t mean?? that i’m not going to love my body in the mean time. i have three babies who look up to me, hear my words and want to be just like me. 

this body has created + carried these three babes…and 2 at once!…and then breastfed + cared for them for 3 years.
i will NOT miss out on these summer memories with them because of the lies that our society has created about body image and what a ‘perfect’ body looks like…cuz y’all, this isn’t it. my boobs are some pathetic version of pancakes mixed with tennis balls, i see that c-section pooch that will never go away no matter how many sprints + crunches i do…and you know what?
these three precious babies see their beautiful mama who loves them, plays in the pool, loves jesus, gives bomb pops and thinks that kind + strong is ‘pretty.’

coordinating suits for the whole fam… i haven’t found a cut or pattern that i didn’t love and trust me when i say i’m still wearing my very first suit from them!! the quality is amazing and i always snag them when they have their BOGO sale making it much more affordable when you’re buying for 4….and i’m GOING to be getting zach in on these! he actually said, ‘oh man, i kinda want those… i totally would have rocked that!’…it’s comin, folks, it’s comin!
