if you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know my obsession with Stitch Fix. then just when i thought i couldn’t love this little service any more, these amazing folks out did themselves again and wha-bam stitch fix for men!!!
it should be noted that i surprised zach for his first fix and you can too! this is a perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season {husband, boyfriend, dad, brother, best friend!} and a perfect way to up his style game!! all you need to do is answer a few simple measurement and style preference questions for him then choose the date and the box will show up!
{bonus: if you are already a stitch fix customer, use your referral id to get $25 credit for your own fix!}
so if you haven’t jumped head first into stitch fix…1. you need to. 2. here’s what this little box is all about:
1. you fill out your style profile, answering all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. you can also write notes about likes/dislikes. linking your board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like is a huge help so your stylist can get a good picture of the types of things you like!
2. schedule your fix! you will be charged a $20 styling fee however, when you keep any item (or more) you will be credited back the $20. i always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.
3. best mail day evvvvver. you will receive 5 items (clothing, jewelry + accessories, whatever you prefer). i personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know!
3. take 3 days to decide what you want to keep/send back (in a postage paid envelope, of course). use this time to try everything on. match what’s in your closet, wear your shoes, walk around in it all… this is my favorite part. i hate buying a shirt only to get home and realize i have nothing to wear with it. with stitch fix, this isn’t a problem!! bonus: if you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix, yaaaas!
it should be noted that while i have chosen to receive fixes randomly when i choose (when i have an event coming or need something new), you can also opt to receive fixes on a schedule (monthly, 2x/year, etc.). i started stitch fix almost 3 years ago and have randomly received fixes since then!
**stitch fix also offers women’s, maternity and gift cards that you can give which make a perfect surprise present for any woman or man in your life!
as always, if you ever have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
okay now seriously, let’s get this show on the road! if you see anything that you think your man needs, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar! i am the queen of copying other fixes!
alternative apparel: marathon hooded pullover (kept)
zach instantly fell in love with this shirt the second he took it out of the box. it is unbelievably soft and comfy and such an easy weekend shirt! with fall weather quickly approaching, this hooded pullover is a perfect addition for his closet!
this shirt was so perfect for zach and totally looked like it could have hopped into his closet, but unfortunately was too tight in his chest. i think it looks amazing on, especially when styled with {the softest} triblend crew tee, but he didn’t want to keep a shirt he couldn’t button. fair enough, i guess!
hawker rye: essential wash long sleeve shirt (returned)
grayers: newport straight leg pant (returned) when filling out zach’s profile, i noted that he could really use some new shirts for work and that he typically wears a button down and some form of khakis. while they certainly delivered his style, the sizes just didn’t workout. zach has a pretty athletic build with a broad chest and shoulders, so i knew it would be a shot in the dark! the nice thing about stitch fix is that you can leave very specific and detailed feedback so you get a better fit next time!
zach was cracking up with my ridiculous attempts to pose him, especially when we had two crazy nut jobs running around! i have to say though, as a parent of toddlers, this is hands down the easiest way to shop! i love the ease of getting great style and everything he didn’t keep got stuck in the prepaid bag they send and put in the mailbox to be returned! easy peasy!
so, what do you think?! did we make the right choices?!
question: if you had the opportunity to waive the styling fee, who would you gift a fix to in your life?!
