sunday was SUCH a special day as my sister, mama and bonus-mama pulled off the sweetest surprise sprinkle for miller.
christine had asked me a couple of weeks ago to have a sister day on sunday and i quickly reserved the day for us to spend the day together. i hadn’t really thought twice about it because we try to do a couple of hours just the two of us every month or two. breakfast, shopping + lunch were on the agenda for our ‘sister day’ and we have no problem filling our time with chatting and laughs.
we started with breakfast at the golden nugget and filled our bellies for a full day of shopping! after breakfast we headed to the greene to do some major shopping for the kids… is anyone else amazed every single time you have to buy clothes for your kids?! {or times two?!} anyways.. we did some damage for some spring + summer basics and a couple other needed items.
christine asked about getting some lunch, but said we needed to make a pit stop at home because she ‘forgot to feed her dogs’ and then we were going to stop by and grab mom to come to lunch with us. {all of which is very normal for us…} until i opened the door and my best girl friends and family yelled, ‘surprise!!’
everyone was laughing at my face because it was very apparent… i was completely surprised!!
..the most thoughtful surprise to celebrate our baby miller’s arrival..
how adorable are these custom invitations from Penelopes Paper Pantry?! {my mom said julie was THE kindest and most amazing person to work with… everything from customer service to shipping and the final product, julie went above and beyond… yet another reason why i love working with small shops!!}
i was sprinkled with the most adorable gifts, delicious food and the best company.
…i could eat my weight in cookie cake…
everything baby boy, i have to say my mama heart just was smitten over the most thoughtful details.
how adorable are these fishing rod pretzel sticks my bonus mama made?!
this was one of my favorite gifts from the girls shower, i was so excited to see that we’d be able to enjoy these again … i loved reading our late night diapers in the middle of the night. just an extra laugh to get you through those first few weeks!
i simply had the best time celebrating our newest baby cline… it made me that much more excited about meeting our little bundle of sweetness!!
the biggest ‘thank you’ to my sister and mama’s for throwing such a wonderful sprinkle and everyone who came out to surprise me and shower us with love.
we finally remembered to take a picture as we were walking out of the house… and i’ll just leave you with this gem!
i brought everything home and the girls had the best time snuggling all of his newest little stuffed animals. we’re going to have to work on that sharing thing..
xoxo,
lindsey
