well first things first…this belly is no joke. it’s kinda funny, lately i’ve actually ‘felt’ smaller, like the bloating has gone away…and yet my hips are in over drive prepping for this sweet girl + the ever growing belly is just that…ever-growing. leggings are life right now and at the same time i can’t stand to have anything on my belly. case in point, i’m currently sitting in my jams with my shirt tucked up over the belly so it can just hang. i feel like a 60 year old man with a beer gut….
and i overheard lila say that ‘mama doesn’t follow the wules because we don’t wear jams to pwe-school.”
thanks girl.

when the great folks at stitch fix reached out to see if i would share a maternity fix, i gladly accepted the offer! maternity style has changed so much even in just the last 2 years since i was doing this gig with mills…but more importantly now, i want to be comfortable. i’m running on little sleep and clothes just aren’t comfortable these days.
if you’re not familiar with stitch fix, here’s the run down…and if you are, hop down to the reveal.
in my note to my stylist, i mentioned that i was on the hunt for cozy + comfy joggers, cardigans and that i loved feminine detail! i’d say cassandra delivered!

hat | shearling jacket {stitch fix} | tank top | leggings | boots {old}
1. madison & lola – twila faux shearling jacket
i have a few shearling vests that are pinned because they’ve been on my wishlist and while i’m still holding out, this jacket didn’t do a whole lot for me. looking back in pictures i actually like it WAY better, but in person, i didn’t love the mixed material {sweater + shearling}. it is extremely warm and i did love parts of it, but at this point, i’m being extremely picky about what items i’m sticking in my closet. i truly believe in investing in pieces that will last but with maternity clothing, unless it’s for a specific occasion or casual wear, i have to LOVE it to spend the money!
i left all of that as feedback for my stylist so she knows exactly why it didn’t work for me!
jacket | maternity shirt | joggers {stitch fix} | shoes
2. beyond the bump – shawn maternity jogger pant
when i first peeked at my fix in the mail, i laughed when i saw the price tag on these joggers. i was a little disappointed because i have REALLY been wanting a pair of joggers, but i’m so picky about the waist band for comfort with this belly that i haven’t pulled the trigger. i really didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on sweatpants….but then i put them on. holy moly. i may or may not have worn them multiple days in a row and they have {hands down} the most amazing waistband i’ve ever experienced in maternity pants. these may have been the only items i kept from my fix but they are worth every penny especially when these will last long past the maternity days.
cardigan + shirt {stitch fix} | jeans
3. b collection by bobeau – robin convertible single closure cardigan
4. loveapella maternity – charlotte ruched side maternity knit top
i’ve been asking for a cardigan for a few months now but i’m looking more for a boyfriend type sweater. this cardigan was SO cozy and soft, i almost kept it especially because it seems like it will be amazing while nursing… but, i have a few very similar in my closet so i had to send it back.
the shirt was exactly the color i requested in my fix and while it’s gorgeous, i have a lot of basic maternity shirts and didn’t need one more. i noted in my feedback to my stylist that i was looking for more unique pieces!
5. daniel rainn maternity – ecru maternity lace detail blouse
another note i left for my stylist for this fix {that has a permanent place in my profile} is that i LOVE feminine detail. my camera died {blogger fail…} and we were running out of daylight so these pictures don’t quite do it justice but the detail on this blouse is beautiful. it’s very dainty and i so badly wanted to keep this one BUT. with ohio weather being so cold for the winter {and really into april}, by the time i will get a lot of wear out of this, baby girl will be here and since it’s not nursing friendly, i knew i wouldn’t get a whole lot of wear out of it. a cardigan would be an easy solution but then would cover up all of the detail so back in the package it went!!

Great post Lindsey. I love stitch fix and order multiple times throughout the year. They nail my fixes 95% of the time! Gift cards are such a great Christmas gift!
I LOVE stitch fix! Thank you for introducing it to me! I still get one every other month! So much fun and the stylists are pretty darn good at picking stuff out that I like! It’s hard to send anything back!
