august is world breastfeeding month and while all of my babes have been given formula + bottled breast milk, i truly love and will miss this stage with our last, sweet baby. my heart for breastfeeding doesn’t mean it was always easy, but this labor of love is one of the most unexpected ways i have loved motherhood.
when i saw bridgette of BD Photography was offering mini sessions in a creek for world breastfeeding month i had to jump on it. this was my first time taking pictures with bridgette and we had so much fun. her and her daughter {who came to help} were the sweetest duo and good golly…her talent!! i learned with my maternity milk bath session {and the newborn milk bath that followed} how much i needed these photographs in my life…and bridgette captured it all.

motherhood is selfless. it’s messy and chaotic. it’s full of so. much. joy. your heart wants to burst…and also exhaustion. and tears. the ability to embrace it all is truly a feat but motherhood…it’s the most beautiful journey.
