if you missed the first half of our family florida vacation, you can find it HERE! {and the years past are below!} we spent a full week down in the sunshine state and it was amazing. we ate too much and spent an entire week playing on the beach, running into the ocean and hanging poolside…..and i’m still finding sand everywhere!
while our days pretty much looked mostly the same day in and out we typically break the days into two…the first half on the beach, then naps for the littles followed by pool time in the afternoon!
we have a timeshare that was originally my grandfather’s and we’ve been going since before i was born…my family’s first time was when my older sister was 6 months old! we’ve known some of same staff for as long as i can remember and the memories just get better and better. i’m not sure what’s more fun….doing it as a kid yourself or watching your kids experience it all…i’m 100% confident it’s watching your kids experience it all.
it has been so much fun seeing the kids turn into these little fishies… i obviously have to give all credit to goldfish swim school for their progress and the fact that lila is virtually swimming independently, piper’s confidence has increased tenfold in the water, and miller will be the earliest swimmer out of them all!
maisley hung in the shade pretty much the entire day and got her beauty sleep in the heat. i have a million pictures of her sweet little face and one of the best parts of traveling with family is all the hands to help hold and play!
happy hour at the pool bar was a hit each day and while the adults typically snagged a fruity frozen concoction, the babes were alllll about the milkshakes and frozen ice.
we bought cans of pink lemonade and when kiddie cocktail didn’t involve the milkshakes at the bar, the cousins enjoyed their special treat on the pool chairs!
the maisley show…gah i love her!!
these are truly the days and guys, i mean it when i say it was such an amazing time. traveling with these sweet little faces and letting them explore, have fun, play…it’s worth every ounce of chaos that comes with it.
we’re so blessed to have family so close to spend time with who loves us so, so hard.
it was one for the books…until we meet again, florida!
