Happy April  Fools Day!!

What good pranks are going on that you are doing or have heard about?!

While I don’t typically partake in all of the days festivities, I always get a kick out of hearing the pranks that go on.

Zach is officially on spring break now so we have a full and fun weekend planned…as well as a busy week with having him home! Gotta love teacher perks 🙂 Whatever you’re doing, I hope your kicking off this new and springy month with something good!!

Let’s get back to our fourth week of Friday Favs… a day to focus on things that makes us smile! I always love to hear what things you are loving that I need to check out, so feel free to participate in comments section of this post!

iced coffeeStarbucks iced coffee:

I make my coffee most days but as we are starting to have some sunny and even some warm days (when Mother Nature isn’t being bipolar in good ole Ohio), my craving for iced coffee is starting to kick in. I haven’t quite figured out how to make my own iced coffee, however my brother in law, Mark, makes some killer iced coffee (hint, hint, Mark?!)… So here’s been my lifesaver. Throw in some iced cubes, a dash good pour of Natural Bliss creamer and a straw and I’m on my way!!

becoming moreBecoming More by Lysa TerKeurst

I did my first online bible study (OBS) when I was on bedrest and loved the atmosphere and encouragement of the Proberbs31 ministries. This book was one I did after having the girls and it spoke wonders and truth into my heart. Lysa has a beautiful way of speaking to you and I’ve found I can relate to her and her honesty… I can’t wait to read more from her.

alexOld but sweet friends (don’t mind the crazy wind hair!! 🙂 ):

I had the opportunity to reconnect with one of my closest friends from high school this week and oh my, how it was good for my heart. Our friendship has lasted through the years and moves across the country, yet we can meet for lunch and pick up right where we left off…and 2 babes later.

stitch fix
Stitch Fix:

I was introduced to Stitch Fix a couple of years ago and wanted to see what the buzz was about and absolutely FELL IN LOVE with the concept.  For those of you who don’t know, Stitch Fix is an online personal shopping service.

Here’s a quick rundown: You create a personal Style Profile which helps your stylist understand your size, style, budget and lifestyle (this takes about 10 minutes) – they even have MATERNITY!!  Then you pick a date to receive your shipments and your stylist will choose 5 items (shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, jewelry, purses, scarves, shoes, etc.) she thinks you’ll love.  At this time, you’ll be charged a $20 ‘styling fee’ that is a credit that can go towards anything you choose to purchase from your shipment.  Your ‘fix’ arrives – and HOLY MOLY this is the best mail day evvvvver!!! You are encouraged to try EVERYTHING on…you are even sent a style card with ways to style that item.  I always try to mix and match with things in your closet and have an open mind.  You never know what will look good on you!  You have 3 days to try everything on and make a decision then you keep what you love and send back (in a pre-paid shipping bag) what you don’t.  Whether you keep all 5 items or send back 4, the most important part is to provide specific feedback on each item for your stylist. Fixes get better over time as your stylist really gets to know you and your preferences. Better yet – if you keep all 5 items you get 25% off everything!!

A couple of notes: You can make requests: “items for work”, “dress for an upcoming wedding”, “colorful tops”, “pieces for layering” etc. You can email customer service for a size exchange for an item you love – however pieces are limited so there is no guarantee.

I have used this service before I had kids, just after I had the girls to get a dress for my best friends rehearsal dinner for her wedding, and as my body has changed post babes.  It is so much fun to get some new clothes, try them on in the comfort of your own home, and, let’s be honest – shopping is the last thing I have time for these days.  I’ve even gotten my sister hooked and wearing BEAUTIFUL boutique clothing!! Click {here} to try it out for yourself and let me know what you think!

gamily.JPGLastly and most importantly these days… family time.

I posted this pic on Instagram the other day (L_Cline87) and these three pics are some of my favs. I have always wanted to be a mom, and when I got married, this even grew deeper when I wanted to be a parent with Zach.  Watching him with the girls just…there’s no words to explain it.  They LOVE him, oh goodness, how they love him.  My most favorite times these days are when we carve out intentional family time.  This week it was a run and picnic in the park… Lord have mercy, was it amazing.  I love this man. I love these girls. I love the outdoors. We’ve started the C10K program and I feel like it’s the perfect way to get this momma back into the workout world!

What’s making you smile this week?! I love to hear what is making your week, so feel free to use the comments section below!

Have a happy weekend and hopefully you’re getting some sunshine where you are!

xoxo,

Lindsey
