Life Update | December 2022

Heeey! Goodness it’s been a minute since we’ve been in this space… SO much has been happening behind the scenes and quite frankly, life has gotten busy! We’re long overdue for a life update… and this is just the beginning! You can expect to see us back in action in this little corner of the internet – and let me tell you, I’m EXCITED for all that’s to come! Grab a cup of coffee or some wine and let’s catch up!

Life Update

On the homestead, we’ve added multiple animals… 4 kitty’s, some cows, 15 chickens and even a new pup! Our little farm is growing and we all split up chores… don’t worry, more on the homestead front is coming soon – especially that sweet baby calf we’ve been bottle feeding!!

As for the babes, praise the Lord, all is GREAT! We’re well into our 3rd year of homeschool {with our nephews, too!} and are loving it more and more as the time passes. We officially have 2 2nd graders who love to read + do art {they’re currently reading the 2nd book in the series, Little House on the Big Prairie and it’s a fan fave in our house!}, a kindergartner {who loves math + science} and a preschooler who is here for the snacks + animals!
**more on our homeschooling journey soon!!*

as for health, everyone is doing pretty amazing!

Piper had her second big leg surgery earlier this year to remover her hardware {this deserves it’s own post!} and then completed two rounds of hippotherapy {equine therapy} and is now in physical therapy at the coolest place ever – on a farm! She’s continuing to heal, build strength and meet with her amazing team! She’s crazy talented in art, is playing basketball and has a God given gift with animals.. she wants to be a vet!

Lila is busy with gymnastics and archery lessons and loves to cook! She always has tiny projects started and when she puts her mind to something – better watch out because she is DOING it!

Miller is the goof of the family and makes us laugh every day. He’s 100% boy and loves all things trucks, dirt, frogs, bugs and is constantly moving. It has been a bit of a journey figuring out how to help him focus as he struggles with attention and hyperactivity {more on this, soon!!}.

Maisley girl! If you’ve been around for a bit you know she was having some health scares with low blood sugars and seizures and I’m happy to report that as she has grown, she is seemingly growing out of her ‘lows’! She’s obsessed with anything kitty, sparkly and princess dresses – if you see us out and about, just know she likely dressed herself and girlfriend has some will power!

As for Zach and I, we’re running around like chickens with our heads cut off – life on a farm, running a business {or two 😉 }, homeschooling and teaching full time – but we’re learning to truly value slowing down, focusing on Jesus and my main goal right now is to simplify!! … it’s a work in progress, ha!

Health-wise, I’m SO thankful to report allllll is well. It feels weird to even type it out and I feel like I’m holding my breath… but. We’re also learning to simply trust His timing and hand over all those battles. Zach is doing great, I’m doing great… someone had asked me a few weeks ago if I noticed any deficits and I think the brain is so fascinating. I notice a few minor things but am able to compensate well…plus, i don’t think anyone notices except my closest friends/family – I need more sleep or I will get headaches. If I get overwhelmed or upset, I have a harder time finding words I want to use. I am not able to multi-task very well and my memory isn’t great if I’m trying to do more than one thing at a time. All in all, I’m beyond grateful for where I’m at. We’re coming up on 3 years post-stroke and I’m so grateful to be living!

I’m beyond excited to be back in this space! Like I said, I have so many things in the pipeline!  If you’re not yet following, be sure to follow along on Instagram {where you’ll find me most of the time and get behind the scenes life in stories!}, Pinterest {hello organization, non-toxic living and fashion!}, Facebook {sharing relatable content + non-toxic living tips, Young Living Sales and more!}… and of course, be sure you’re signed up for my newsletter here!
