a quick + easy modern farmhouse powder room update on a budget is timeless with neutral colors and beautiful accents!
we moved into our new farmhouse house in october and the very first room we started working on was the powder room in the entryway. this is the main bathroom for our guests to use and we threw on some primer before moving in and it’s taken us nearly 4 months to finally pull it all together… #4kids4andunder
with our move, our budget for renovations is very small so we cut major costs in this room by keeping the vanity, countertop and toilet and simply keeping our update a ‘cosmetic’ one. zach is very handy and is the one behind all the sweat and hard work that goes into all of my ‘ideas’… and he REALLY nailed this one square on the head!! he completely pulled my ideas together and although he fought me the whole way {we’re just the perfect amount of sass and opinions to make it all work! 😉 } on making decisions for this room, we make such a great team and it all came together beautifully. it’s probably my favorite room in the house right now as it’s officially the first room that is ‘done’ and complete with decor!
from this gorgeous {and affordable} mirror and lights to the double layered rugs {striped rug + plaid rug}, this farmhouse powder room is one of my favorite rooms of the house! this is a fairly large farmhouse bathroom remodel so while i wanted something bold, i also wanted to keep it light, airy and uncluttered.
**most of the farmhouse bathroom decor from hobby lobby is not linked due to the seasonal nature. i have linked everything possible at the end of the post!

this mirror is probably my favorite piece of the bathroom other than the shelves
a note about the shelves
zach tears down old barns around the dayton area as a side gig so we have easy access to the beautiful wood that i typically scour and tell him to set aside for home projects. aside from needing to make decisions and a run to lowes, these shelves were very easy for him to do.
i hope you enjoyed our modern farmhouse bathroom remodel!

faucet {i ordered this through a local remodeling company because plumbing fixtures sold through professional installers or plumbing supply companies are better quality than the same faucet sold at big box stores..the easiest way to explain it are the “guts” are different. if possible, buy plumbing fixtures through your local plumbing supply company and have it professionally installed. trust me when i say if you are planning to stay in your home, don’t let plumbing fixtures be what you “save money” on.}
Do you have a link for the shelves?
My husband made them, I’m so sorry!! We’re planning a link to DIY them soon! It’s gas pipes painted black and a board!
Do you have the link to the Get Naked sign? It didn’t come up on the website.
They changed their site but I believe you can still order it under their custom work designs! 🙂
Where did you get the hardware for your shelves and where did you get your hand towel holder?
Hi, Michelle! The brackets for the shelves are gas pipes from Lowe’s that we spray painted with a matte black. Hand towel holder is from Hobby Lobby last year! Hope that helps!
Did you stain the shelves or is that the natural color of the wood?
Hi, Michelle! This is the natural color of the wood {it is definitely worn, though… it is old barn siding!}
Hello . Where did you get the tray on the toilet ?
Hi Carly! It’s from Hobby Lobby! 🙂
Hey! If you don’t mind, where is the lantern on the shelf from? I’ve been searching for one like it and have been unsuccessful. Thanks
Hey Kristi! Sorry for the delay… it’s from Hobby Lobby!
