the holidays are over and i think we’re ALL ready for a new year with new beginnings! while there are endless goals + hopes for the new year, our family is choosing to focus on two things: health + happiness. 2020 brought many new challenges for our family and if we learned one thing from my strokes + the curve balls that last year brought us, it’s that nothing in life is guaranteed. so hug your babies tight, enjoy each day as it comes and make choices to better yourself and the people you love! that may look different for every family but for our crew, that means spending as much time in nature and making better-for-you food and snack choices!

we’re an outside loving fam by nature {get it?!} but with the cold ohio weather, i sometimes need a little convincing, which the babes never cease to do. from hiking the trails to heading down to our creek, our crew is always up for a little adventure and they quickly jump feet first into finding all the bugs, bones, fossils and deer tracks. it never takes long though before we hear the first ‘i’m hungry’ and as a mama to 4 {and with a diabetic husband!} i’ve learned the hard way that the key to a successful nature outing is to make sure i come prepared and pack the right kind of snacks!
