the perfect costume theme for a large group or family, the greatest showman takes the cake for our creative family halloween costumes for 2020!

i can’t believe halloween season is already upon us but y’all, we’re less than 3 weeks away from one of my favorite ‘holidays’! if you’ve been here for any length of time, you know my love for matching anything with my crew runs deep and i have every intention of making halloween a family affair until the day they stop thinking it’s cool 😉 for now, these babes are just as excited as i am, so when i asked the big girls what they wanted to be for halloween and Lila proudly stated, ‘the bearded lady!!!’ i nearly threw every piece into my amazon cart within 45 minutes, ha!

the bearded lady costume

if lila’s heart could be any bigger…she proudly announced she wanted to be the bearded lady because jesus created her beautifully but everyone made fun of her {see the movie!!!} because she looked different. but SHE {Lila} wanted to be her because she can sing so beautifully.

when looking for a bearded lady costume, options were pretty limited {or extremely expensive} so we settled on a purple rapunzel costume {or this one on sale!}and just made some adjustments!! throw in a costume beard and a child’s moana wig + a little flower crown and there you have it!!

Tom Thumb costume

sweet mills in the cutest Tom Thumb costume that is 5x too big for him! mom brain hit and when i didn’t realize until we were getting dressed that i returned the wrong costume – this is what you want!. never the less, some rolled sleeves and rolled pants, stole daddy’s hat and mr. tom thumb was happy as a clam with the infamous click toy guns!

albino ‘twins’ costume

while everything in me wanted the {twin} girls to both be the albino twins, they were both excitedly set on their own characters and who could blame them?! piper’s costume easily came together with a white wig, some white face paint + colorful eye shadow and completed with a white angel dress!

the strongest baby

cutie pie maisley girl… although she’s missing her 100lb barbell, the tattoo sleeves and red striped dress makes for an easy {and warm!} baby costume! this could also work well as a popcorn stand server for a typical circus costume!

anne wheeler + phillip carlyle costumes

we may or may not have gotten very into this whole theme… anne wheeler + phillip carlyle! the two lovebirds of the story that funny enough, the kids picked out for us! a pink wig + gold socks easily complimented the purple trapeze artist costume i found at target along with zach’s ringmaster costume! his cane and hat {that mills is wearing for pictures} are both household finds!
