for those of you who know our crew, can you believe how tiny the girls are in these pics?!

this simple and FUN activity with cookie cutters is sure to engage your baby, toddler, preschooler and even older children! easily adapted for every season and holiday with different cookie cutters, you can design and plan this activity around the weather where you live and your comfort level for messes! {hate messes?! just stick your paper and nakey kiddo in the bathtub to complete this activity then turn the water on for an easy clean-up!

materials

this simple activity only requires three materials:
plate {paper for easy clean up, reusable to go green!}
paint {this is our favorite washable paint!}
cookie cutters {as few or as many as you wish!}

*pro mom tip: if you flip the plastic cookie cutter over, the ‘top’ of the cookie cutter has a wider grip making for a bolder print!

show your child how to tip the cookie cutters into the paint and then stamp the picture. it’s okay if it’s smeared, it oftentimes leaves a cool effect! color mixing is also a neat experiment for littles…  dipping in all the colors or separating! the process is so fun for them… we go through MANY pieces of paper during this project!

pro mom tip: after your paintings dry, these make wonderful handmade valentine’s day cards for family and friends!
