wrapping up the summer

it’s officially fall, but with the temps still in the 90’s, we’re soaking up every last bit of summer we possibly can. i’d live in summer forever and am seriously loving the extra days to play in the pool, run our nakey commune {kidding, but seriously, who wears pants…} and smell that sunscreen.
time has just been flying. i feel like i say that on the regular, but seriously. where is it going?!
it has been the BEST summer yet. these are my people. zach was home with us all summer. we crammed in more than i ever thought was possible with a newborn and yet we had so.many. wonderful nights spent at home snuggling and playing.
better enjoy the chaos because it certainly doesn’t last forever.

we kicked off the summer with our big girls turning T W O with the most fun donut birthday party!

then celebrated the girls’ becoming big sisters with a mama + me maternity photoshoot.

i had my first tv appearance for fueling mamahood + we celebrated zach’s birthday

i discovered stroller strides and fell in love with workouts with my babes.

zach + i praised god on a regular basis for a full term healthy pregnancy, had a photo shoot for our sweet BOY and decorated a farmhouse nursery.

we welcomed our most perfect gift from god, miller lee

and our hearts grew tenfold as we watched our big girls become big sisters

we had miller’s newborn photoshoot

took our circus on a plane + down to sanibel island for our first vaca as a family of 5

celebrated an epic 4th of july

and had the best day ever at the zoo!

we took our second. and third. family vacation to dale hollow and then lake toxaway.

when we were home we lived at the park, had picnics on the daily and even discovered sharpies…

i managed 3 babes at stroller strides {and am still getting the hang of life with 3 under 3}

mills and i shared some space

and we walked in the labor day parade with our twins club

we went to the zoo…about 20 more times.
but let’s be honest, we brought the monkeys.

mills went to his first red’s game and the girls got to hug rosie, their hero.

we played at boonshoft

life got messy + piper was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, but we also realized just how amazing our community was.

and to top it all off, the big girls were fishies and started swim lessons

THE C R A Z I E S T, most amazing, hardest + beautiful summer of my life.
we made so many memories and i have about 1,000 {or 4,000 according to my photo library} pictures to show for it.
we grew our family, but most importantly our hearts, this summer.
this one will go down in history as the best summer…yet.

summer

we’ll see ya next year, summer.
