we’re rounding the corner to the end of October and honestly, i keep wondering where in the world the year has gone….and yet it also seems like we’re living in the twilight zone of 2020! i feel like i’m a broken record but good golly, it’s like the year that will never end..but life with littles just has a way of zooming by that i find myself scrambling to hold on to the time and not let it go by… ya know?!
so what’s been going on?!
the number one question i’ve received has been about my health, which is unbelievably kind. it’s funny because i got the clearance to resume normal life and we hit the ground running… hence the silence in these parts! to wrap it all up as quickly as possible, my health has been on the upward swing without complication, praise god. i’m in the final countdown for mouth surgeries but my brain has continued to heal beautifully, my face/mouth has not been in pain for the first time in months and i’ve resumed all normal mama activities!
homeschooling has been happening..and phew it’s been a transition! honestly, things have been going better than i expected, but there has been a lot of room for adjusting expectations. if you follow over on instagram, you’ve seen a glimpse into our daily happenings. of course it’s not perfect, everyone has their days, but we’re finding our groove, the kids are learning and truly, i still feel very blessed to be able to be such an integral part of our children’s education.
you can read more about our schedule here + check out our homeschool room here!
so what else?!
we’ve picked pumpkins at mammaw + pappaws pumpkin patch {zach’s parents}
accumulated enough caterpillars + grasshoppers to start our own discovery channel
taken adventures like to enterTRAINment junction.
these 4 sweet sounds have become big kids right before my very own eyes.
our sweet maisley girl accidentally broke her arm…. it healed right on up with the cutest tie dye sparkle cast in the world. side note: when did casts get so cool?! AND waterproof?!?!
zach worked his booty off and used his talents to make the most beautiful transformation to our fireplace!!
you can check it out here!
zach + i snuck away with some of our best friends for our annual ‘adults only’ trip. the lake, laughing till our bellies hurt, great food, good drinks and checking out for a few days!
our superhero, piper, has made great gains but also had some disheartening appointments if i’m being honest. her journey with cerebral palsy + ehlers-danlos syndrome has been a roller coaster. while she has continued to make tremendous progress in a lot of areas, there are some major concerns regarding her physical anatomy with her leg requiring us to bump up her surgery to this spring. more on that to come later.
someone’s gotten too big for her britches and is the brightest light in our house…and also the boss.
we’ve made memories and settled into our new normal. life as usual is flying by but we’re making the most of it and praise God for the blessings that continue to rain down!
Glorious post,……….life is ever changing and this has been such a crazy time for your family. But God is good and you have continued to bounce back. Much love! ❤️🐝👱🏻♀️
