another year is in the books and as usual, this one has by far exceeded any dreams i could have had.
from adding the most perfect addition to our crew to our big girls growing into their own little beautiful, ornery selves, god has blessed us beyond our imagination. although we’re still winging this parenting gig on a daily basis, we’re finally feeling like we got this family of 5 thing down.
i sit here with tears in my eyes as i recap the best year of our lives.
january
we kicked off 2017 with our little lila getting tubes to fix her significant hearing loss + praise god, it worked!!
i took a winter trip to hocking hills with this sweet babe in my belly!
oh. my. gosh. these sweet girls.
we hit our 20 week anatomy scan, was cleared of vasa previa!
february
our sweet little ducky was diagnosed with ehler’s danlos syndrome
we crafted our way into valentine’s day
found out we were having a baby BOY!!!

got our full use out of this bump shelf with endless lovies.
made spring sensory bins and a whole lot of other spring activities.
and this bump just kept on growing!
april
we toilet trained our peanuts in 3 days!!
filled the baskets + celebrated Jesus with Easter!
my mom, step-mom + sister threw me THE sweetest surprise baby sprinkle for our little guy!

we splashed in puddles
and celebrated our big girls turning TWOOOOO!!!!!
with the most FUN donut birthday party ever!!
celebrated mother’s day with the two who first made me ‘mama’.
we played outside… so much outside time!!
and finished miller’s nursery!
had my most favorite big sister maternity photoshoot!
june
we swam. and swam. and swam.
took the girls on a big girl trip to kings island.
celebrated zach’s birthday with SO many kissies
fueling mamahood had our first ever tv appearance!!
and we had the most fun with our romantic country maternity photoshoot with this big ole’ belly.
we attempted a vbac and after 24 hours of labor….
hands down my favorite moment of 2017… when i got to hold our sweet boy for the first time after repeat c-section.
so. many. happy. tears.
the big girls got to meet their baby brother.
our whole world was complete.
i watched this sweet boy steal everyone’s hearts…but probably his daddy’s most of all.
and these girls are next in line.
we had his newborn photoshoot.
and then boarded a plane for our first family vaca to sanibel island.
july
we celebrated the fourth with friends + family.
and even went to the zoo!
lived the lake life for 2 full weeks with our families..
august
and when we were home, we lived in the pool!
we went for hikes as a family
played at the park
and even got our first smiles!!
september
we walked in our first parade
learned to swim like little fishies
and lived in silly-town.
mills went to his first baseball game.
and we discovered the sunflower fields
we went to boonshoft and i kinda-maybe got the hang of outings with 3 babes.
the girls started swim lessons
and we apparently didn’t believe in clothes.
october
we lost a very sweet man earthside, my grandpa
and took an ‘almost-adults-only’ friends trip to lake toxaway
while the girls had THE time of their lives with aunt ebby + uncle bunny
i’m fairly confident this is almost my favorite pic of the year….
and then we found toes!
we went to apple orchards…
and pumpkin patches.
we shared some space.
and even mills got in on the little fishy action!!
we ended october with some little whimsical donuts!
november
we went to the indianapolis children’s museum
took our annual family pictures
and cheers’d to endless amounts of hot cocoa
this mama turned 30 with my favs
and we filled our bellies with some turkey.
and then cut down our christmas tree

this little guy turned 6 whole months {good. niiiiight. i still can’t believe it.}
and baked cookies for santa
caught snowflakes on our tongues
and wrapped up the year with the most magical christmas celebrating Jesus.
it most certainly wasn’t perfect. it was a year of tears, laughter, growth + grace and looking back i’m reminded of all of our blessings in these sweet frames. we’re welcoming 2018 and all it has to offer with a focus on gratitude, grace + love.
